How Pad Printers Service Several Industries

0

Most of us use products every day without putting too much thought into how those products were made. For example, the keyboard I’m using to write this piece has printed letters on each key, but how did these keys get printed with letters exactly? The answer is that they were pad printed with the letters. Let’s get into what pad printing is and how it’s used in several different industries.

pad printers guide

What is Pad Printing?

The name gives a bit of a clue into how the process of how pad printers work. Pad printers work by transferring ink from a silicone pad into the product you want to print on. A simple way to think about this is the stamps you probably used when making crafts as a child. The pad printers typically hold the product while the pad stamps the product with the desired print. Once the item is printed, the product is left to air dry for the ink to harden.

Pad printing equipment is used in today’s commercial applications in order to print a lot of products in a short amount of time. This means that this printing technique is often used on mass-produced products and is found on many assembly lines within large factories.

The Pros To Pad Printing

The biggest pro to pad printing is the versatility of this type of printing method and equipment. This type of printing can be used on almost anything, which gives factories and manufacturers a lot of freedom. This also means that pad printing equipment can be modified and adjusted in order to print on different products, giving these sorts of machines a long shelf life.

Another big pro to pad printing aside from its versatility is that it’s a great way to print 3d surfaces, as well as products of any shape and size. This means that your item can be curved or have uneven surfaces and pad printing will still be able to put a high-quality print on the product. As mentioned earlier, keyboard keys are a great example of this as they are concaved in shape to be comfortable to the fingers, but a pad printer can put a high-quality stamped letter on each key regardless of the key shape.

Another huge pro of pad printing is that of consistency. Because a robot can be the applicator, the same pressure and ink amounts can be consistent across a wide array of stamped products. This is a huge plus for products made at a scale that require consistent prints.

Custom Solutions

Each factory is different, and the production equipment is customized in order to create products of all shapes and sizes. Because of this, pad printing also needs to be integrated into your manufacturing process in order to work seamlessly in production. Thankfully there are solutions out there where pad printing solutions can be crafted for simple operations as well as very complex manufacturing processes. These solutions typically involve pad printing by a robot, tray, vibratory bowl, or operator. A pad printing engineer can help you to decide what medium will work best in order to save you time, money, and increase the efficiency of your production process when it comes to printing.

With most of the manufacturing moving to completely automated processes, having a good pad printing engineering firm is pivotal in order to help you reduce the manpower needed in order to get your products printed. Elements of pad printing automation include feeding, fixture, pre-inspection, treatment, printers, post-cure, vision inspection, and unloading. All of these elements should be addressed by a pad printing engineer in order to help you get the most out of pad printing automation.

Industries That Use Pad Printing

One of the largest industries that utilize pad printing is that of the automotive industry. Just think about all of the buttons, dials, and other dashboard items that have something printed on them to help users understand what they do. All of these prints are typically made using pad printing techniques.

Sporting equipment is another large industry that utilizes this printing method due to the rigid and curved shapes that most sporting equipment entails. The next time you put on a baseball helmet and see the printing on it, you’ll know how it was done!

Medical devices also utilize pad printing as they come in all shapes and sizes. Pad printing can make labeling buttons and instructions for use on these types of products a much easier process than that of other printing methods. Since medical devices are made on a large scale, pad printing has become one of the most cost-effective ways to get these sorts of products labeled with ink.

One common misnomer is that pad printing can only support products that need printing done in one color. This is not true as pad printing can be used with multiple colors and can be transferred sequentially to the product. This opens up quite a bit of flexibility and allows many different types of products to be able to be pad printed.

As you can see, pad printing is used in multiple industries due to its customizability, and its ability to work with oddly shaped products that are more rigid in nature. If you manufacture rigid products or products with odd shapes or sizes, looking into pad printing can potentially save you quite a bit of money via automation and integrating it into your existing production process.

A Buyer’s Guide To Choosing The Right Audio Equipment

An audio system consisting of high-quality audio equipment can make every day in your home, office, or studio just a little more enjoyable. It can make all the difference, whether you like to entertain other people using your home theater, use your audio system for conferences and meetings, set up a musica studio, or just listen to music while working in your office or cleaning and cooking at home.

Buyer's Guide To Choosing Audio Equipment

Simply put, music makes people feel good. However, how good you’ll feel depends on the sound quality of your audio equipment. To help you get the best audio equipment for your home or office audio system, take a look at our buying guide:

Figure Out What Equipment You’ll Need

First, determine what audio equipment you’ll need to purchase. This is a vital step before you start thinking about what features you’ll require. Since there’s so much information buyers have to think of, this can be one of the most challenging, if not the most challenging, steps to take.

To figure out what equipment you’ll need, ask yourself the following questions:

  • What’s the size of your room?
  • What equipment do you own or already have (if any)?
  • The number of microphones you’ll need
  • Do you prefer passive speakers or powered speakers?
  • Speakers in stands or flying speakers; which do you think is better?
  • Will you use monitors?
  • Will you run cabling? How far?
  • Do you need an effects processor?
  • Will your setup be temporary or permanent?

Commonly Used Types Of Audio Equipment

Note that there are many options to choose from when buying audio equipment. However, below are the commonly used ones:

  • Audio Analyzers – Audio analyzers, like Audio Precision audio analyzer, are used to measure SP values, reverb time, frequency response attributes, and the phase correlation of an audio device. It’s a really handy tool when assessing a gadget for any deficiency.
  • Microphones – This is a piece of audio equipment that remained almost the same throughout the years. It hasn’t changed a lot despite being one of the oldest audio equipment you can still find today. Different microphone types include handheld microphones, dynamic microphones, shotgun microphones, lavalier microphones, and built-in microphones.
  • Digital Audio Workstation – When you’re recording, creating, and editing audio files, the digital audio workstation (DAW) is the primary software you’ll use.
The digital audio workstation’s visual appearance hasn’t changed a lot. It was meant to resemble an analog mixing board’s feel and look. The DAW also plays a role in electronic music production.

The market offers numerous options for a digital audio workstation. The ideal one is a matter of personal preference. However, the different DAWs available incorporate some standard features, such as multitrack recording, filtering, and tempo or pitch modification.

  • Preamplifier – This electronic equipment boosts weak electrical signal strength. It’s a piece of vital audio equipment for people who record sound. It’s also popularly referred to as a preamp. The reason why the preamp is perfect for sound recording is that it effectively avoids sound recording noise interference, improving sound quality.

Take note that while amplification is essential in sound recording, you should prevent clipping by considering the audio levels every time you use the preamplifier. Clipping may be necessary if you fail to do it due to the highest level of loudness or the clipping point has been reached.

  • Headphones – Gaming, consumer, and studio headphones are the different headphone types.

However, go for studio headphones if you plan to use your headphones for professional work. That’s because you can tune them through their neutral sonic balancing to meet your specific objective. As a result, there’ll only be minimal colored sounds produced, allowing you to mix tracks more effectively.

  • Audio Interface – Transmission of music into a computer while recording and conveying compute signals during playback are the two main roles that traditional audio interfaces perform. However, many other features have been added to the modern versions, including mic preamps, headphone amps, digital conversion, DI boxes, and monitor management. Therefore, an audio interface links the digital sounds and the traditional analog audio.
  • Speakers – Speakers are the most popular audio equipment available on the market. Choose a speaker based on your needs since they’re being sold in different sizes and different price ranges.

The different types of audio equipment available on the market each serve a unique purpose. However, the pieces of equipment mentioned above are the critical ones you need to achieve your goals to have an audio system at home, your office, or your studio.

Know Your Room’s Size

The physical size of your room has a significant impact on the type of audio equipment you’ll need. In fact, as pointed out above, it’s one of the questions you’ll need to when figuring out what equipment you’ll require for your audio or sound system.

Obviously, you won’t need as many amplifiers and speakers for a small room. The last thing you want is to purchase more gear than you need. That’s because they may be too outdated to function effectively by the time you actually need to use them. In other words, you’ll only be wasting funds when you buy more gear than your room requires.

The acoustics that may be built-in in your room is another thing to consider. It cuts down on the number of microphones and speakers you’ll need by naturally amplifying sound throughout the room.

Wired or Wireless?

Is wired or wireless the right audio equipment in today’s age of Bluetooth and wireless gadgets?

With wireless systems, you only need to pair everything, and you’re done. This means you don’t have to deal with pesky wires. That’s why it might seem the easiest setup option. However, there are challenges to using wireless audio equipment, though, such as frequency changes. As you change your equipment, you may also encounter problems related to frequency compatibility. It’s essential to note that the cost of wireless equipment also tends to be higher than the wired ones.

Wired systems do have their own challenges as well. They require additional cables and are more challenging to install, not to mention that you also have to hide any cabling or get them out of the way if you want to achieve a neat look for your audio setup.

If you’re after the simplicity of installation, consider wireless. However, it’s best to go for wired audio equipment if you want to avoid compatibility issues.

Think Multi-Purpose

Try to purchase multi-purpose equipment if possible. For instance, get microphones designed for talking, singing, and recording (perfect for podcasting). Also, when searching for speakers, pick ones that you can fully adjust to optimal sound for speaking and music.

Cheaper Audio Equipment Isn’t Always The Better Option

The low-cost audio equipment you’re interested in is probably cheap for a reason. As the saying goes, people do get what they pay for. Yes, it’s an old saying, but it happens sometimes.

The cheaper option won’t sound great in a professional setting, although it might work well for slumber parties in a kid’s bedroom.

However, having an unlimited budget that’ll allow you to customize your audio system to exactly fit your ideals isn’t realistic for most people. Nonetheless, it’s still possible to achieve your goals even with a modest budget.

So, if you can’t get top-of-the-line products, focus more on getting the right audio equipment within your price range. Make sure you’re purchasing the right equipment by taking the following into consideration:

  • Save money by considering lightly used but quality audio equipment. Note that it’s a great idea only if you make sure that you’ll have a chance to test the device yourself before shelling out money for it.
  • Many retailers offer discounts to customers who buy complete systems. So, consider purchasing entire systems at once instead of buying one component at a time.
  • Only buy what the size of your room requires. Again, a small space won’t need the same system that a bigger room requires.
  • Only purchase audio equipment that you can actually manage (some complex equipment require specialized skills or knowledge so the user can make the most of it. Others, especially larger ones, need a team to manage it.)

Purchase Scalable Equipment

Everybody loves good sound quality. That’s why many people invest in both acoustic changes, such as building a room with built-in acoustics or adding in acoustic panels, as well as audio equipment. Respect your investments by going for pieces of audio equipment that are scalable.

For instance, you don’t want to purchase audio equipment that can’t support anything more than what you have at present, especially if you plan to expand your home theater, conference room, or studio. You’ll have devices that grow with you if you choose to spend a little more now. The last thing anyone wants is to get new pieces of audio equipment every few years as their audio needs grow.

Bottom Line

An audio system consisting of quality audio equipment is a worthwhile investment. Provided that proper maintenance is followed, your audio system will last longer and you can guarantee that it’ll function efficiently.

Keep in mind that what you’ve learned here is only a guide. If you want to experiment with the pieces of audio equipment available to achieve a more satisfying and exciting listening and recording experience, feel free to do so.

How eSports on Blockchain Works

0

The coronavirus pandemic has brought about innumerable bankruptcies and business closures, but there are some industries who have been lucky enough to gain from it. eSports is one of them. Due to the many on-site restrictions imposed on many businesses, which includes sports and gambling, most people have turned their attention to eSports. And this has prompted its tremendous growth during this pandemic.

esports on blockchain

With a combination of competitive gaming and real-money betting, it is not a wonder that eSports has become a billion-dollar market. And with this positive event comes pressure for eSports companies to meet the demands of its market. Enter eSports on blockchain. Blockchain not only lets eSports keep up with its market, but also allows it to focus on developing next-generation technology. So, how does eSports on blockchain really work and why is it setting a trend in the gaming industry?

Blockchain offers a stable and fixed protocol. First off, it must be clarified that not all blockchains would work well with eSports. There are certain standards and capabilities that companies need to look out for, and crucial to this is the stability of the protocol that is the base of any kind of similar technology. Just like how the Internet protocol was stable enough for many platforms and applications to build on top of it, blockchain protocol is the same.

The Bitcoin SV blockchain has successfully restored the original Bitcoin protocol and has set it in stone. This means that this rock-solid foundation will remain unchanged and can withstand the test of time. This is of extreme importance when building eSports on blockchain because every change in the base protocol is something that affects all platforms built on top of it—and this requires time, effort and money. With a guarantee that the blockchain protocol will not change, companies can focus their time, effort and money on developing more hi-tech games fit for their market.

Blockchain accommodates big data. Again, not every blockchain can handle big data. Companies need to be very choosy when it comes to this as eSports generates a massive amount of data on a daily basis and the blockchain needs to be able to scale in order to handle this, otherwise, building on blockchain besoms pointless. The Bitcoin SV blockchain is an infinitely scalable network that has been tried and tested to be able to handle big data. It continues to scale rapidly as evidenced by its test network hitting a record-breaking 16.4 million transactions in a single block.

“When I looked at the scaling roadmap of Ethereum, it became clear that we were never going to be able to have a million players playing on Kronoverse. Instead, everyone is having to develop layer-two technologies and are only submitting the results to the Ethereum blockchain. With Bitcoin SV, we wouldn’t have to do that,”
FYX Gaming CEO Adam Kling said about their decision to move from Ethereum to Bitcoin SV.

Blockchain handles micropayments. Because betting is incorporated in eSports, it is important for platforms to be able to allow users to bet the smallest amount possible at very low transaction fees. For instance, Bitcoin SV offers smooth and easy microtransactions at an average cost of 0.0067 USD per transaction. This is something users would not be able to feel at all.

These are just a few of the qualities that make eSports on blockchain work well with each other. Register for the next virtual CoinGeek Conference to learn more about blockchain technology.

60hz vs 144hz vs 240hz Monitors: A Detailed Comparison.

What’s A Refresh Rate?

The refresh rate of a monitor has been defined as the number of times the monitor updates per second. It differs from frames per second (FPS), which, as the name suggests, specifies how many frames are shown by the specific file per second. The refresh rate is critical for motion managing since a higher refresh rate usually provides a more fluid motion.

The number of images that are viewed per second when the screen updates is expressed in the term Hertz (Hz). A 60Hz display will update pictures and display 60 pictures per second whereas a 120HZ display has 120 images per second when refreshed and 240Hz monitor has 240 images per second. This is the term that you commonly see denoted as Hz next to a number when looking at any sort of display.

60hz vs144hz vs 240hz Monitors

Why does Refresh Rate Matter?

Refresh rate matters for people who want to game (competitively or causally) and those who work in the gaming industry  (e-sports etc) and require something that’ll put them over the edge and above their competition. Professionally, Refresh rates are a game-changer (no pun intended) and sometimes even help normal people become pros.

For example, a 60hz monitor would display only 60 images a second. But, let’s say the opponent has a 240hz monitor, which means their monitor would show 240 images per second and that means they would spot you first. Here’s a GIF to help you visualize it better.

60hz vs144hz vs 240hz Monitors

                     Credits: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGBreL63hQZIG3EpOv8ZTCg (WASD.ro)

You can clearly see how the 60hz monitor is choppier and displays the opponents model slower, whereas, in the 144hz and 240hz monitors, you can see a more fluid motion and spot the enemy faster.

These subtle changes play an essential role for players in winning or losing ranked/competitive games, tournaments and e-sports events for first-person shooter games such as Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, CSGO etc.

60hz vs. 144hz vs. 240hz Monitors- Which one should you opt for?

Higher refresh rate video displays are not the best choice for optimal quality and colour fidelity. Therefore, content creators usually prefer a 60hz refresh rate. But with the new 4k displays with 240Hz refresh rates, that might soon change.

So, if you’re only aiming for aesthetics, a 60 Hz display is the way to go, although if you’re aiming to get good results and trying to get an advantage over your competition, then a higher refresh rate display is what you should be looking for.

60hz vs144hz vs 240hz Monitors

Note: It is important to understand that FPS plays a crucial role in determining your refresh rate too. So, for instance, if you were playing a game with a 144Hz monitor, but your GPU isn’t powerful enough and can only pump out 70-80 frames, then your refresh rate becomes 70-80hz also as the images displayed per second is equal to frames displayed per second.

60hz: The Oldie But Goldie

60hz vs144hz vs 240hz Monitors

60Hz is the minimum refresh rate available on modern displays. If you are aiming to buy a display just for regular work and personal activities, then you can opt for a 60hz monitor.  It T performs well only for watching videos and films. It’s the simplest most cost-efficient and easiest available alternative.

It’s even great for casual and minimal gaming.  I’ve used a 60hz display for over 10 years and did some competitive gaming on it as well and I wasn’t the worst player that ever lived. So, if you’re low on the pocket and are looking for a good monitor to buy, I’d say opt for a 60hz monitor.

144hz:  Worth Every Penny

60hz vs144hz vs 240hz Monitors

In the gaming scene, the most popular refresh rate is 144 Hz. It offers a cleaner interface but is marginally more expensive than 60 Hz displays. This refresh rate is ideal for competitive players, and if you’d like to purchase a PC exclusively for gaming purposes, this is the display for you.

I upgraded to a 144hz display recently and I don’t think I can look at a 60Hz display ever again. The consistency and the fluid motion of graphics make my gaming experience seem like nothing else. I would highly recommend switching to a 144hz or a 120hz display if your budget allows it.

240hz: Did you see that?!

60hz vs144hz vs 240hz Monitors

One of the fastest refresh rate seen in modern displays is 240 Hz. This refresh rate produces extremely clear images, which make the motion appear so smooth as if you’re in the game. And it does that while almost eliminating motion blur, which is common in most higher refresh rates monitors.

When testing it out in person, however, I experienced something unique. Even though the image quality was almost perfect, and there was no motion blur or reduced clarity in sight, I didn’t see that much of a difference between 144hz display and 240hz Monitor. The difference in testing, when switching from a 60hz display to a 144hz one is day and night, the same could not be said for switching from a 144hz display to a 240hz Monitor.  On top of that, it costs a limb to buy these things.

Conclusion

So, to keep it short, the best option to opt for if you’re low on budget and require a high refresh rate with smooth operating is the 144hz monitor. Not only is it fast and provides what other monitors cannot, but it’s also light on the pocket as well. Trust me, once you use a 144hz monitor, you never go back. However if you are a multi monitor setup fan which presents you all the time with good additional options and advantages than the single monitor then also you can go for the 144hz. The multi monitor setup provides you with lots of space to get the job done, to play the games which need a wide screen-space and much more. So, by bearing in mind all these added features, you can think of going in the direction of setting up the dual monitor wallpaper.
