No matter on what topic we discuss on, our Techgyo team which is pretty small consisting of only three won’t make a conclusion without a few hours of hardcore debating, today evening when Sreejesh came up with this both us had different views on this and our argument seemed to go on forever so we decided to contribute equally on this post.

Fiverr is a great service no doubt on that, but Sreejesh as been concentrating too much on it for the purpose of earning money which I disagree with because Fiverr is the site made for having fun and other silly things, you can very rarely find someone there who is serious about making money.

Just months after Fiverr got popular there were many more scripts which emerged which helped others to clone the service, with the help of this many sites such as Gigbucks took birth which looked and functioned the exact same way as Fiverr did, but the only thing was that it didn’t have the price restriction of $5, so this site got hold of those who were in the mood of making money and the buyers who were interested in serious business.

After their success two more similar services got started named Jobsfor10 and 7freelance, they all don’t have much to contribute as they are relatively new, but I think we must keep a close watch on them.

So now we can come to the conclusion that is your looking for fun, entertainment, silly stuff or just to show off your talent which Sreejesh loves to do, then there is nothing better than Fiverr, but for serious money makers like me Gigbucks is the best.

This is a post by Vishal Sanjay. Who is a very talented 14 year old blogger. if you would like to write for us, please click here

During the 80s hacking became a popular activity among techies, during those times it was an art and was used by techies to show off their skills, but today its a serious business, crime and danger, it is the most deadly crime caused why technology and at the same time a fantastic opportunity for those who are planning to make positive use of it, cyber crime became such a huge risk that many companies started to spend millions of dollars to protect themselves from becoming a victim.

Bloggers!!! Beware Of Copycats. They Will Steal Your Traffic & Your credits!!!

4

Today morning was really interesting for me. Early morning a dog torn my shoe, and but somehow he left 🙂 And later I switched on the PC and as usual I was reading articles, then i looked the Google analytics account and felt like traffic is gradually reducing in our site, to check the position one of our article I randomly selected  and article Awesome Delicious Bookmark Button With Counter for Blogspot and WordPress Plugin and search for Delicious Bookmark Button With Counter in Google, just to check its position in search results, and I was shocked to see what appeared on my screen. Check it yourself in the below screenshot. The copied version of our post is being displayed in higher position of search results and the original article from Techgyo.com is being listed at the 4th spot. OMG at least its in the first page.

If you are not sure, what to do if your article is being copied, then read this post here: How to find if article theft (Plagiarism) and steps to prevent it.

Update: Techishere.com has removed all the copied content from their blog.

So see what he is up to, i went to the alleged copycat blog Techishere.com, then I found almost all posts which is published in TechGyo.com is being automatically posted there, with the same Author name and same images and content, the page was exactly the same as Techgyo.com’s post page except the style and theme was different. I found out that its done by some automated robot and but still I tried to contact the administrator. Then I found that the blog is hosted in Hostgator. I when to online chat support of Hostgator, the customer support representative sent me to this page. The page says to write to DMCA regarding the copyright violation and i did as it said. Read more about DMCA ACT in Wikipedia

I have been reporting few blogs to DMCA before and 2 among them are http://digitsdiary.blogspot.com and another one i don’t remember the URL but it was deleted due to copyright violation. Among which http://digitsdiary.blogspot.com’s author agreed to remove the copied contents, so I ignored him.

This is a worst nightmare of any blogger, it really sucks when someone else get the credit and loyalty of your work, I’ve spend hours as long as 7 hrs to write a single article spending time to research and find resources and editing images, These copycats simply copy our content and display them as theirs. They get comments of appreciation while sit like ducks here. I’ve stopped posting since few months now, and this was really shocking for me. I know there are more copycats out there. And I’m even thinking to provide a service to all bloggers to prevent plagiarism and save their precious work.

Dooms Day For Internet Is About To Come Soon

0

As most of you must be aware of it, the dooms day for the Internet is about to come very soon if, we are not united together for what is going to happen. There had been a bill passed in the US, which will enable the government of US to censor the internet just like China does, for its citizens.

This bill has been signed by many powerful senators of both Republican and Democrats, which will expand the US governments vast regime, to further censor the Internet. The Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act (COICA) was introduced on September 2010 and there will be a hearing in front of the Judiciary Committee this Thursday.

If passed, this law will allow the government, under the command of the media companies, to censor the internet as they see fit, like China and Iran do, with the difference that the sites they decide to censor will be completely removed from the internet and not just in the US.

How It Will Work?

COICA will be creating two blacklist of Internet domains. The ruling court Courts can add sites to the first list; the Attorney General would have control over the second. Internet service providers and others (everyone from Comcast to PayPal to Google AdSense) would be required to block any domains on the first list. They would also receive immunity (and presumably the good favor of the government) if they block domains on the second list.

The list would contain sites which are booked for infringing activity. But here’s the catch, don’t even think that this would only include websites catering Pirated or underground materials, but that’s defined very broadly — any domain name where counterfeit goods or copyrighted material are “central to the activity of the Internet site” could be blocked.

An example of what that reflects in practice is: sites like and not bound to  YouTube could be censored in the US. Copyright holders like Viacom often argue copyrighted material is central to the activity of YouTube. But under current US law, YouTube is perfectly legal as long as they take down copyrighted material when they’re informed about it — which is why Viacom lost to YouTube in court.

But once COICA passes, Viacom wouldn’t even need to prove YouTube is doing anything illegal to get it shut down — as long as they can persuade the courts that enough other people are using it for copyright infringement and  the whole site could be censored or its lifeline could be pulled off

More worser than above is that even if Viacom couldn’t get a court to put censorship of a YouTube or a similar site, the DOJ could put it on the second blacklist and encourage ISPs to block it even without a court order. (ISPs have many reason to abide the will of the powerful DOJ, even if the law doesn’t formally need them to do so.).

Th e pass of Act S.3804 or COICA would be a major blow to the growth and development of the Internet world, and also curtail the freedom of speech on the internet world. However there had been a progress from the side of the users as the Senate Judiciary Committee postponed the scheduled markup of the Internet censorship bill went home for the October recess.

How To Submit A Petition Against It?

You can just sign up in the below website and they will send your voice to Washington. Please do register in it if you are a US citizen.
