Fans are getting incredibly excited for a potential Grand Theft Auto 6 announcement at E3, thanks to some interesting posts by E3 that happened over the weekend. As the days, weeks and months go by, without us getting any information on GTA 6 from Rockstar people are starting to get impatient, and they’re also turning their attention to the one of the most popular video game conference and convention in the world i.e., E3- Electronic Entertainment Expo which is back this year.
It was canceled last year in 2020 due to the pandemic, but this year it’s happening through June 12th through the 15th and E3 is where the biggest developers and publishers showcase their new products, games, updates, expansions, and talk about the future- it’s a really fun week for gamers usually filled with lots of news. So let’s get straight into it.
GTA 6 E3
E3’s Twitter account which has a huge following of 2.3 Million, they were responding to a few fans the other day and most popular video games series GTA 6 ended up being the topic of question (we cannot not expect fans to bring it up, now) the first question was asked by a user that goes by the name “GTA 6 NEWS & LEAKS” and they literally just asked E3 “Can you answer my question please? Can we expect Grand Theft Auto 6 announcement at E3 in June?
And this question prompted a response from the E3 Twitter account where they attached a GIF of someone patting stitch from the movie Lilo & Stitch (how subtle!)
It’s pretty clear from the GIF that E3 is patting all the fans on their head and asking them to be patient (which is not very easy). So it pretty much looks like GTA fans have no other option other than to be patient for the one of the most popular games and this response by E3 doesn’t necessarily mean that the announcement is imminent but the fact that they responded is interesting. E3 responded again to the same user who ended up asking once again “Once again can you answer my question, is Grand Theft Auto 6 getting announced at E3 in June? Please and thank you.” The response from E3 is kind of hysterical…….
Again, this doesn’t necessarily mean anything, it’s just funny how they responded. The last response that someone was able to get was on May 13 where a user asked “Hey @E3 I know you probably won’t or can’t answer this but any chance we will see gta expanded and enhanced at the event this year”. To which E3 responded:
So finally we got some words other than just a GIF and I think this means that all the other responses that we’ve been getting don’t indicate anything as such, it’s just E3’s Twitter account trying to engage with fans on their social media platforms. In fact, if there’s going to be any sort of announcement at E3, there’s probably a bigger chance that we end up seeing the expanded and enhanced version of Grand Theft Auto 5 getting an announcement rather than Grand Theft Auto 6, that has to come out first before we get anything else or it would just steal all the hype away.
Most popular video games
The fans of Grand Theft Auto 6 are going to have to cool their expectations at least for some time because Grand Theft Auto 5 expanded and enhanced standalone GTA online has to come out first before we’re even going to get an announcement. But there are two things that should get all the fans excited, number one being- Rockstar has a history of making big-time announcements at E3 like the GTA 4 announcement that occurred at Xbox’s conference and the PlayStation 4 announcement of Grand Theft Auto 5 which happened at Sony’s press conference.

We would love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below. Do you think that E3 engaging with their fans on Twitter about Grand Theft Auto and GTA 6 questions means something?
