What is Street View?
Street View is Google’s one of service which is embedded in Google Maps. Google Maps with Street View lets you explore places around the world by dragging the orange "Pegman" icon on the left-hand side of the map. With the help of Street View it is possible to check out restaurants, beaches, historical places and visit neighborhoods, or plan your next trip. Along with that you can walk, rotate and jump in 3D area virtually by pressing appropriate buttons in street view mode. Street view is already available in more than 27 countries in the world.
Google has announced this service in Bengaluru as it is known as the IT capital of India. According to the officials of Google this service is very useful for urban development planners, law enforcement agencies, house hunters, and travelers. Businesses can also benefit from the Street View technology by embedding Google Maps directly into their site for free. Hotels can use it to show their infrastructure and facilities in 3D.

As we all of us know Google doesn’t compromise with privacy, the officials of the google say that they have developed the advanced technology which works effectively to blur human face and vehicle number plates. According to Google, Street View is designed to comply with all local laws including those related to security and privacy in India.
How do they do it?
Google cars and special three-wheelers with a camera system mounted on top have already started taking the imagery of various parts of Bengaluru city and nearing areas. This process take some time as every street should be covered and added to the Google Map with face blur and privacy control.
