The American smartphone manufacturer InFocus announced InFocus Turbo 5, an entry level device with a huge 5000mAh battery. The brand is quite popular in India for its affordable yet, powerful and sturdy smartphones range. InFocus is hitting the market this time with yet another smartphone, focusing the crowd who need more battery juice. Like rest of their smartphone line-up, InFocus Turbo 5 comes with a unibody design. I bet InFocus Turbo 5 is going to be a great catch in the entry level smartphone market, which now majorly is owned by Motorola and Xiaomi.

The InFocus Turbo 5 is a small device with a dimension of 149.5*74*8.95mm, making it slim and good to hold in hand. As the design, it’s a beautiful unibody plastic design with metallic finish. The phone will be available in both Mocha and Streamer colors. The device is extremely light weight because of the plastic finish. There is an InFocus logo in the back side of the device.

In the front, we have the 5.2 inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280*720 pixels. Just below the display, the navigation buttons like Home, Back and Recent arranged in the good old fashion and is back lit. Top of the device is the 3.5mm audio jack, left side it’s the SIM card slot and on the right, lock and volume button. Surprisingly the speaker grill is on the back side of the device, along with the fingerprint scanner, rear camera and InFocus logo.

The InFocus Turbo 5 packs 1.25GHz MediaTek MT6737 processor with 2/3GB variants with 16/32GB internal storage respectively. The memory can further be extended upto 32GB using microSD card. The whole thing is powered by a massive 5000mAh battery which is going to give you 2 days’ power even if you are a heavy user. They’re calling it #ChargeLessDoMore

The main camera, 13MP is equipped with flash and can record video 720p videos at 30fps. There is no support for full HD video recording. The camera does support continuous autofocus and has white balance. However, the shutter speed is as low as 1.18S. The front facing camera is of 5M and there is no HD video recording capability. The front camera can record in a maximum resolution of 480p.

The InFocus Turbo 5 comes with sensors like; GPS, A-GPS, Range, Light, E-compass. However, there is no gyro sensor onboard. The device supports connectivity options like; 3G, 4G, Bluetooth v4.0, WiFi, WiFi Direct. There is no support for NFC or IR.

Like I said, the InFocus Turbo 5 is clearly an entry level smartphone with average specs. The great part about the device is the big battery, the 5000mAh battery can easily last you 2 days even if you are a heavy user. Because of its beautiful plastic unibody design with metallic finish, the phone looks great and at the same time feels light on hand. The phone comes in two variants which has 2/3GB RAM and 16/32GB internal storage.

Phone will be available from July 4th on Amazon. Hope this phone is going to be a game changer in the entry level smartphone market. Check the price on Amazon.
